Kenn Day is a full-time Shaman, actively practicing in a professional setting for over thirty years. In addition to offering healing sessions in person and remotely, he is an author, lecturer and teacher who presents in-depth training in Post-Tribal Shamanic teachings. These are teachings received from his Spirit Ally, Grandfather.
He is the author of two books on the Shaman experience, Dance of Stones: A Shamanic Road Trip (Moon Books 2013) and his latest Post Tribal Shamanism: A New Look at the Old Ways (January 2014).
Kenn has studied various indigenous forms of shamanic practice, as well as shiatsu, movement technique, jin shin do, and other body-centered therapies. He has taught numerous workshops in the United States and Europe, and is a sought-after lecturer on the Shamanic experience.
He offers both foundation and advanced level workshops in Post-Tribal Shamanic Teachings – in person at his practice,
Body & Soul, in Cincinnati, Ohio, online through Glide Wing, and in major cities across the country.
The Medicine Body is one of the most powerful tools for the Shaman. It's foundation is the energy field that surrounds our physical bodies. This workshop focuses on the creation, maintenance and use of the Medicine Body for shamanic transformative and healing work. The workshop will include practical exercises in breathing, energy, conscious awareness and more.
Participants in Medicine Body will leave the workshop with:
The ability to extend consciousness into the field around their body.
An understanding of the three layers of Medicine Body.
A deepening capacity for Soul Awareness.
The capacity to cultivate the kind of energy necessary to maintain Medicine Body.
Foundation practices for use with Medicine Body.
The deepening awareness of a communal self.
Constellating the Soul
Systemic or Family Constellation Work is a valuable and powerful tool for clarifying, addressing and allowing healing within the ancestral soul. This workshop will demonstrate some of the applications of this technique while providing opportunities to work directly with the client’s soul. Constellation Work was developed by Bert Hellinger in Germany, based on his work with the Zulu, in South Africa.
Building a Relationship with a Spirit Ally
Shamans are chosen by the spirits. The spirit who do the choosing are our allies. But just because you have been chosen by a spirit doesn’t necessarily mean that you have developed a relationship with that spirit. As with any relationship, this one will require good boundaries, reciprocity and mutual respect. Much of what we will cover will also apply to other spirits.
